Fluidride Cup #1

The first Fluidride Cup in history has gone down as a huge success. We had 235 riders entered in Sunday’s Downhill, and 41 racers entered in Saturday’s Slalom. There were 15 pros, 14 Semi Pros, and 3 Pro women in attendance. We handed out over 50 temporary licenses to first time racers, and 47 annual memberships! Carter and Neethling:Reunion Island Mega Interview on Virtual Descent

Eric Carter and Andrew Neething travelled to Reunion Island off the coast of South Africa last fall for the final round of the Mega Avalanche Series. Their mechanic John Canepa did some nice filming and a great interviews with the riders. Check out pro insights into some of the toughest gravity racing on the planet at virtual descent. Fluidride Cup This Weekend! Check out the Slalom course here.

The weekend of the first Fluidride Cup race is fast approaching and Fluidride Riders Lars Sternberg and Casey Northern have been working around the clock to get things dialed for the throngs of racers expected to show up this weekend. The two, with the help of the Port Angeles and greater NW riding community, have put together an amazing dual slalom track to compliment the great DH tracks in store for riders. Check out the slalom course to see what it looks like when Lars and Casey aren’t holding shovels at virtual descent.

Editor Lou Mazzante’s article “Thirty Years to Whistler” chronicles some of the areas and people who have helped bring the sport to it’s current state. Anka Martin Hanging tough in South African Absa Cape Epic!

After 5 stages and over 42 hours in the saddle, Fluidride Rider Anka Martin is sitting in an impressive 15th place in the Women’s division of the Cape Epic. Anka has worked tirelessly to get the required fitness to complete this grueling event. We wish her the best of luck in the final stages. Good Luck Anka!

New Bike Brands in Stock at Fluidride

100_3220.jpg The Issaquah shop is now up and running, and new stuff is arriving everyday. Yesterday we took delivery of two beautiful new Intense frames which we quickly built into bikes. These bikes are dialed and come with a great build kit, and US made frames. Also in this week at Fluidride are Morewood bikes. The frame pictured is Pro Racer Nathan Hoch’s personal ride.Morewood Izimu The frames look great, with amazing workmanship and attention to detail. We’ll be getting some in stock soon.
