Mc Daniel, Holden win Fluidride Cup Round #4

43 year old Bart McDaniel (Center Cycles) has been riding at warp speed all season, and this week, Bart proved he can still win races amongst the countries and worlds best riders.

FR Cup #4 Results

Posting a smoking fast time of 3:09 in heavy rain on the muddy technical track N’Dub Productions had laid out, Bart bested second placed Lars Sternberg by four seconds. Curtis Keene (USA), Derek Chambers (Can), and Keirin Bennett (NZL) rounded out the top five in a very competitive mens field. With four races behind us, no rider has been able to win two races in the mens field. Winners to date include Luke Strobel, Lars Sternberg, Bryn Atkinson, and Bart McDaniel.

The women’s division saw a repeat winner, in the form of Katie Holden (Katieholden.com), who was just coming off a great result with a third place in the Canadian Open behind Rachel Atherton and Sabrina Jonnier and continued her streak with her second win of the season in the Fluidride Cup. Joy Mutoli (Speedy Beavers) took second behind Katie and has been riding fast and placing consitently alll season.

In the highly competetive Junior X Class, Brian Guse (Dirt Corps) took the win, mixing it up with the pro times, and taking home the first purse of his career. Congrats Brian!

Look for a full slalom race report, pictures, and results to be posted soon. Thanks to everyone who came out to ride or watch the event. We look forward to seeing you all on Mt Hood September 13 and 14th.
