Colonnade Park Clinic Fun
I recently held a Beginner/Intermediate Jumps and Drops clinic at Colonnade Park, and was once again reminded of how quickly riders are able to pick up the basics of these skills with some good concentrated efforts. 12 riders showed up bright and early Saturday November 8th with bikes and armor, and ready to learn. We started out with some basic body position and bike control drills in order to get good and warm before hitting the drops and jumps. By the end of our “warm up” riders were looking much more confident and controlled on their bikes and were ready for the bigger challenges ahead. Three hours later, the riders were dropping the drops with ease, and were getting some pretty sweet air time off the jumps we’d set up. I had a really great time meeting everyone, and thoroughly enjoyed the morning of riding together. Every rider in the group went home looking much different on their bikes than when they showed up, and I know we all got a great workout. Thanks to everyone who came out to learn!
