The guys at GHY put on another great event. There must have been close to 50 racers who showed up to do battle on the one minute plus track the boys had put together. The course started with some jumps, drops, and hand crafted berms which took the riders through the flow park. From there, riders went into some freshly cut steep and technical single track to the course finish. The last 15 seconds was tough, and left riders huffing and puffing as they crossed the line. The race was a best of two run format, and was surprisingly physical and challengingly technical. Good stuff for sure. Ethan Mutoli took the win followed by Matt Patterson (Matt is finding his speed!), Brian Guse and myself. Joy Mutoli took the win in the women’s class. The good guys at GHY gave 100% off the entries back to the top five riders in each category, and even had a bbq while everyone got their freeride on after the race. Not bad for $5 race in November!
