Hello Riders! We’ve added some more information to the “Series Info” page on the site. We are really looking forward to kicking off the Fluidride Cup Enduro DH Series the first weekend of May near Hood River Oregon, and getting the Fluidride Cup Technical DH Series started with a brand new venue at Whistler Bike Park the last weekend in May! More info here.
After months of working out details, we are super stoked to announce that Whistler is officially on board with the Fluidride Cup for 2010! The event will take place on May 29 and 30th. Practice times for Saturday will be announced soon along with our exact racing schedule for Sunday. Whistler is offering discounted tickets for Saturday for $39 and for Sunday for only $11! Tickets are good in the entire park all day both days. Big thanks go out to Jeremy Roche and all the good people at Whistler for working with us this year. Riders with season passes will obviously not need to purchase lift passes. The Pro purses for Men’s and Women’s DH categories will be $500/$250 respectively, with Men’s purses going ten deep for the top ten fastest riders. Fluidride is once again partnering with Petr Kakes and the crew from Hurricane Racing who are the actual event promoters for all Fluidride Cup DH and Fluidride Enduro DH races. Fluidride works with Hurricane Racing and the bike industry to keep US racing going strong. Thanks to everyone who has helped out with sponsorship and to the hundreds of racers who support our events.
I’ll get more specific info on each event up asap!
See you at the races,

Well the day of reckoning has arrived. I fly out for Honduras tonight with MTB Sherpa Legend Greg Norman. We’ll arrive in Tegucigalpa tomorrow afternoon, get the bikes built, then spend Friday riding various tracks in the Valley de Los Angeles. We are teaching a DH camp over the weekend, and have 15 riders from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador ready to show us how it’s done in the Valley of Angels. The following weekend of we’ll be doing an All Mountain/XC Camp. There are still several spots available for that camp, but it’s booking up really fast – so if you are reading this, and live in Latin America, we’d love to have you join us!
We’ll do our best to update the site with photos and videos as we experience the vast landscape and many ecosystems of Honduras. The riding looks epic. I can’t wait to experience it first hand!
Local NW riders looking to sign up for instruction can email me anytime while we’re gone. I should have email access, but will not have my phone.
Happy Trails!

Anyone who knows Dr. Scott Petett, knows he loves to ride his bike! ‘The Season’ recently did a great episode about Scott to showcase his love of bikes and his passion for healing. Check it out!
