I ventured out to Port Angeles this weekend to participate in the IMBA work party. Ryan Schutz and Kristin Butcher of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew arrived on Thurs to walk the trails on Dry Hill located just east of Port Angeles. They worked with the locals on Fri on the new lower One Liner trail. They hosted a Trailbuilding School classroom session at the local DNR office on Sat, and a Trailbuilding School field session at Dry Hillin the afternoon. Wayne Ftizwater and Eric Dukes of the DNR also joined the festivities on both Fri and Sat.
Saturday night every one met at the Yurt the ODS rented for Rayn and Kristen for a party, BBQ, and bike derby.
Sunday ODS hosted a trailbike Poker Ride on a 14mi loop all around the Dry Hill area.
Steve Johnson aka “Male Prostitute” had the best hand winning a pair of Lib Tech NAS skis.
A bik thanks go out to IMBA, ODS, and the PA DNR for making this event happen!
Check out this article about ODS and Dry Hill that was published in the PA newspaper here.
