Fluidride: Like a Pro focuses on the body movement of successful cyclists, and breaks down complex movements into an easily understandable format. A mix of discussion, theory, physics, and actual lessons, Fluidride: Like A Pro tackles each section from a variety of angles with excellent trail riding and racing examples to illustrate technique. Created by Fluidride Owner Simon Lawton, a veteran downhill Pro and instructor of 15 years and ace rider Lars Sternberg, this video will help take your riding to the next level. Over the winter, Fluidride/Virtual Descent riders Sven and Anka Martin traveled to their homeland of South Africa. In addition Anka racing the Cape Epic, the two took some time to go out on a mountain bike safari, and to visit with family and friends. While there, Sven got the brothers Neethling (Andrew and Jonty) to take a few runs on the local trails with our camera gear. Check out the trails and listen to some friendly brotherly banter as the two rip some local spots. There are a few videos, so be sure to check them all out. Thanks go out to Sven, Andrew and Jonty. We have just posted a video of my birthday ride down Syncline from Last year. My 39th birthday started with some runs down the dog river trail near Hood River. From there, we drove into Hood River and shuttled up to the tippy top of Post Canyon for a ride back to town. To cap the day off, we crossed the river into Washington and did a sunset run down Syncline. It was Lars’ first time down the trail, and only my second, having descended it once five years earlier. Mother nature came bearing gifts, in the form of a great Owl sighting, a crazy fast rabbit, and an incredible sunset. Thanks for a great birthday go out to Mountain Man David Murphy, and my brother Tom, and of course to Lars for capturing it all! Check it out at Virtual Descent. I’m going to think of how I can top that one for the impending 40th!
