We are excited to announce our 2018 Alps Tour dates

These 7 day, 7 night camps (6 days of riding) are intended for advanced intermediate and above riders and go from Saturday to Saturday. (Please note check in and checkout times before booking airfare).

New for 2018: Adjoining luxury chalets in the town of chamonix!

New for 2018, we'll be located near downtown Chamonix, France instead of in the surrounding mountains as in the past. This will allow riders to head into town anytime – a great addition to the experience. It will also allow non-riders to join their riding friends and have access to transportation all over the valley and beyond to hike, shop or eat anytime. (There is a bus and train station only 100 meters from the house – passes included in trip price.) We now have two adjoining chalets with 8 total bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, 2 saunas, 2 outdoor hot tubs, 2 sets of washers and dryers, and 2 garages with heated floors for bike storage. (Think pre-ride bike check in your slippers.)

TOUR 1: August 4-11, 2018

French Fluidride guides Thomas Aubin and Wayne Coates will lead riders through the Alps, and point non-riders toward amazing hikes, scenic railway rides to glaciers, and sightseeing in Chamonix and the surrounding areas – including possible side day trips to both Italy and Switzerland. The sky is literally the limit, with adventures such as paragliding possible in the valley. Fluidride offers the flexibility of two guides and two vans for this trip, as well as car service when needed (for an additional charge).

The trip includes airport pickup, daily guiding, and breakfast and dinner each day.

How does this trip differ from our normal Alps adventures?

Unlike our other trips, the younger set is welcome. We’ll ride in more bike parks where trails are a bit shorter than the normal extended routes on offer in the valley. Trails will have both flow and technical terrain. Riders should be advanced intermediate or higher in level. While there are some green and blue runs, riding in the Alps tends to be on the technical side. For riders who aren’t quite at this level, we’ll offer a few days on the bike at less-advanced resorts, with lots of days of fun between.

Due to the nature of this trip, we ask that you contact Simon before booking to be sure the trip is right for you and your family.

TOUR 2: August 11-18, 2018

This trip has been mostly pre-booked out by returning riders from years past (Thanks Dzon!). If you are an advanced rider (don't have to be expert level) and want to join this super fun crew, we have a few spots left. Most riders in this group are in the 40+ age category and are solid riders with great attitudes. Super cool crew!

TOUR 3: August 18-25, 2018

These are coed adult trips offered for advanced intermediate-plus riders. We’ll have two guides and two vans to allow us to split into groups each day. Please contact Simon before booking if you are unsure about your ability or readiness for this trip. We want to be sure our offering is right for you. Trip includes airport pickup and drop off, 6 days of guiding, breakfast and dinner and 7 nights of lodging.

The Not-So-Fine Print

Cancellation Policy:

No refunds after February 1, 2018. If you are on one of our payment plans, your card will continue to be charged until the trip is paid in full. No exceptions. We highly recommend you purchase trip protection through World Nomads to protect your investment. Insurance is inexpensive and covers you for more than just the purchase price of your trip.

What if I just want to pay in full now?

No problem! We can send you a special payment form for that.

What if I want to bring a non-rider with me?

Totally fine! Non-riders save $400 off the normal trip cost and are welcome to join us in the van. There is amazing hiking from the house and at every ride location. When you reserve your spot we'll ask you to confirm if you are bringing a non-rider and we will invoice you accordingly.
