Ride Finale Ligure
April 25 - May 2, 2020
This 7 day, 7 night trip (6 days of riding) is intended for advanced intermediate and above riders and will go from Saturday to Saturday. (Please note check in and checkout times before booking airfare). Trips are gravity based with an emphasis on descending. We’ll descend as much as 15,000’ per day. (You can opt out of a run and rest anytime)
We will be staying in a delightfully rustic building which was built in the 1600’s overlooking the surrounding mountains and downtown Finalborgo, Finale Ligure and the Mediterranean. Finalborgo - a 12th century Roman village - is now a pedestrian (and bike) only town. Unwind with a casual stroll into the town’s cozy center on cobblestone streets with restaurants, shops, and street life, or take in the views from the swimming pool after a day riding the best trails Finale Ligure and surrounding Leguria area have to offer. We’ll be breaking into two groups each day, using two shuttle vehicles to access the amazing trails in the area. One of the vehicles is a 9 passenger Landrover Defender, which allows us to ride less ridden trails, many of which were the mastermind of our Lead Guide Louise Paulin. (Big Congratulations to Louise on her recent EWS win!)
Meet our lead guide Louise Paulin. Louise is a mom, enduro racer, and mtb guide. A long lost Swede who after a little round trip settled down in Finale Ligure. Louise was 2014 and 2016 Italian Superenduro Champion, 2015 Nordic Enduro Champion. Louise recently won the Masters Category at the EWS Finals in Finale.

THE NOT-SO-FINE PRINT
Tours are fully refundable until November 15, 2019. A 50% refund of total trip price will be made to riders cancelling between November 16 and December 31st 2019. No refunds after January 1, 2020. If you are on one of our payment plans, your card will continue to be charged until the trip is paid in full. No exceptions. Trip protection is required through World Nomads to protect your investment. Insurance is inexpensive and covers you for more than just the purchase price of your trip.
What if I just want to pay in full now?
No problem! We can send you a special payment form for that.
What if I want to bring a non-rider with me?
Totally fine! Non-riders may join riders in any of the private room options for only $500. Our guides will go out of their way to ensure you know your options for sightseeing and hiking in the area. When you reserve your spot we'll ask you to confirm if you are bringing a non-rider and we will invoice you accordingly.
What are the other additional costs?
Airfare can usually be found for around $1,300. You will also be responsible for lunch and dinner each day ($30 total per day on average). There are no lifts in the area, so your uplift is all included with our guide and driver program. (We’ll have one guide and one driver in each vehicle).
What happens if we get inclement weather and the trails are not rideable?
While weather related cancelations of rides are rare (we always do our best to get you on the trail!) we are not responsible for the weather. On wet days there is NO UPLIFT service available due to the damage done by repeated runs on the trails. On these days, we’ll either offer pedal inspired riding, E-Bike riding (rider choice) in the valley, or take riders to see some sights along the Mediterranean.
