Instruction FAQs:

Q: What is your cancellation policy for adult group and private classes?

A: If you are unable to attend your original class, notify info@fluidride.com 7+ days prior to your class date to either reschedule or receive a credit. Within 7 days of the class date, we do not offer credits or rescheduling, however you may transfer your spot to another rider at no charge.

  • Up to one reschedule allowed per registration.

  • Credits are valid for one year and may be applied to any group class.

  • No refunds after purchase.

Q: What is your cancellation policy for youth camps?

A: If your rider is unable to attend the camp and notice is given at least one month prior to the camp start date, rider may be able to switch dates to another camp (if spots are available) or use credit toward a future Fluidride group offering (youth or adult) within one year. Within one month, no credits or date swaps are available, however rider may transfer their spot to another qualified rider at no additional cost.

Q: How long is the season?

A: We offer group classes and private instruction through the Spring, Summer, and Fall (typically March - October). In the winter months, we still offer private instruction, weather permitting.

Q: Where are the sessions?

A: Most group classes are offered at Duthie Hill in Issaquah, Washington (unless otherwise noted). Private instruction is offered at a variety of locations throughout the Puget Sound.

Q: What happens if the weather isn’t good on our chosen day?

A: We ride in light rain, but do reschedule for:

  • Heavy rain, and/or steady rain below 50 degrees

  • High winds, lightning

  • Smoke or poor air quality (AQI over 150)

  • Extreme heat (over 95 degrees)

Please note that Fluidride is not responsible for costs associated with travel or lodging for cancelled classes. We always do our best to keep classes on track and provide the most advanced notice possible with cancellations. If you are purchasing flights, lodging, or making other travel arrangements contingent on this class, we recommend that you choose options with a good cancellation policy. We have the lowest rate of weather-related rescheduling in June, July, and early August, and recommend traveling this time of year.

If Fluidride cancels your class, you will receive a full credit toward a future class.

Q: Can I share a private session with a rider of a different skill level?

A: Yes, as long as the kind of terrain the more advanced rider wants to work on doesn’t put the other(s) at risk, it’s fine to have varied levels of ridership within a class. Simon and his instructors excel at teaching to various ability levels within a given group. For a first session together, your group can have riders from beginner to expert. You will all go away changed riders. Cornering and general trail skills can be taught to a group with highly varied skill.
