Baja Covid Policy
Expectations of Guests and Staff:
As COVID-19 evolves in an ever-changing health environment, we will continue to adapt our action plan and implement our high standards of quality assurance and safety. As mountain bikers, we acknowledge that our actions and activities have inherent risks, and that being proactive about risk mitigation is crucial. We expect that all guests and staff put in a reasonable and conscious effort, prior to and during the trip, to minimize any risk of covid exposure. Our actions impact all the people around us and it’s important to help others stay healthy, regardless of our own risk tolerance.
Covid Testing:
We encourage guests to test for COVID within 48 hours prior to their trip, in order to protect others.
Fluidride will provide optional Home Test Kits in each room during all tours.
Action Plan - Preventive Steps
All guests and staff must wear masks while in a vehicle with other people.
Testing is encouraged prior to arrival in Todos Santos, and is required for Fluidride staff.
Fluidride staff have designed an itinerary that relies primarily on outdoor spaces and open-air dining.
We strongly recommend that all persons arriving by plane wear a N95 or KN95 mask while traveling.
Action Plan - Positive Covid Test Result:
Guest Receives Positive Result During Trip:
In the event that a guest tests positive for COVID-19 during a tour, Fluidride will act fast to isolate them from other individuals.
Testing:
All guests and staff will get tested as soon as reasonably possible to determine if anyone else is infected.
Lodging During Assigned Tour:
Action plan will be based on the following scenarios:
If the guest is solo in their room/apartment: They may remain in their room through the duration of their assigned tour.
If the guest is sharing their room/apartment with other persons that all tested positive: They may all remain together and quarantine in that room/apartment.
If the guest is sharing their room/apartment with another person(s) that tested negative: The guest(s) that tested positive and those that tested negative will be grouped together in separate rooms/apartments.
If one is available onsite, Fluidride will provide that at 20% below the standard room rates (listed on villabugambilias.com)
If no room is available, Fluidride will do their best to help arrange offsite lodging until the guest(s) completes their quarantine period or tests negative.
Guests will be responsible for the full cost of this lodging, and are encouraged to submit this expense to their travel insurance company for reimbursement.
Lodging - Quarantine Days Following Assigned Tour:
If lodging is available onsite, Fluidride will provide that at 20% below the standard room rates (listed on villabugambilias.com)
If offsite lodging is needed, Guests will be responsible for the full cost.
Guests are encouraged to submit this expense to their travel insurance company for reimbursement.
