Welcome to Ladies(+) Trail Essentials!
Welcome to our most popular course, and the best place to start with Fluidride. It’s ideal for riders of all levels and will transform your riding. We’ve had pro riders repeat this course several times to continually fine-tune their skills. Beginner and intermediate riders develop sustainable body position and techniques; all using the same drills and foundational elements. This course is about the intersection of bike and body, and proper movement to get the most out of your riding.
Trail Essentials covers:
Proper body position, and important features of the bike
Cornering Skills & Drills
One-Footed Turns
Turning in Both Directions
Linking Turns Through Slalom
Bermed Turns
Flatland Turns
Undulating Terrain
Passive pumping
Steep Descents
Body position demo
Who: Lady Riders 16+ (inclusive of female-identifying, women, trans, femme, and non-binary+)

Skill Level: All Levels
Duration: 1 day x 2.5 hours
Location: Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park, Issaquah, WA.

What’s Next?
After this course, we often recommend:
Trail Essentials – Practice what you learned, then come back to this course to refresh and refine these skills! Solidifying great foundations takes a lot of time and consistency.
Air 101 – the body position work we do in Trail Essentials feeds nicely into body position for jumping
Advanced Cornering – learn how to read and plan ahead for more difficult types of corners, including off-camber, tight or technical turns
