Youth MTB Camps!

Duthie Hill, Issaquah WA

Professional coaching and personalized, technical instruction for your self-motivated rider!

Join other youth riders for a weekend thoughtfully designed around progression. We’ll be stationed at Duthie hill. With a low student-to-coach ratio, we’re able to create a custom experience meeting each rider at their current skill and comfort level. In these camps, we teach the tried-and-true Fluidride methods, which apply equally to riders of all ages and abilities.

Key Details!

Time: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Meeting Place: Southwest Parking Lot (the large, paved one here)

Is this camp a good fit for my rider?

Age range: 8-15 with exceptions for younger/advanced riders. Ages 16+ are eligible for Fluidride adult classes.

Riding Level: Riders should be (at a minimum) riding at an intermediate level, and comfortable on blue trails such as the initial descent on Step It Up as well as the descents on Moving On at Duthie Hill. If you are not sure of your child’s riding level, we recommend signing up for a private lesson with one of our coaches before signing up for camp to ensure your child is ready.

Advanced Riders: This camp is also a great fit for high-level riders! We will have very advanced coaches for those who are ready for additional challenges.

Camp Leaders, Rosemary Allan & Chris Severns!

These camps are lead by our very own Rosemary Allan!

Rosemary is both an integral part of our marketing team and our lead youth coach. She teaches fifth grade during the school year and yet cannot seem to get enough of the powerful energy that children possess. She offers a comprehensive approach to her coaching and includes trail etiquette and stewardship in her sessions with young riders. Rosemary is a mother to two adult men and a teenage daughter, and enjoys spending her time with family and friends, and being active in the outdoors.

She is excited to bring all-new opportunities in mountain biking and downhill riding to the local community of youth riders!

A veteran coach with a calm demeanor makes Chris the perfect youth instructor!

Chris has been working with Simon as an Instructor for nearly 6 years now. In addition to doing Private Instruction, Chris continues to help Simon with larger groups. One of Chris’ strong suits for advanced riders is his jumping ability on the bike, as well as his ability to teach jump skills to all levels of riders. Chris has helped dozens of riders take their air game to the next level.

His supportive and kind personality is perfect for coaching youth in private and group settings.
