Grant Norcross, Instructor

“People talk about all of the amazing riding spots all over the world and I have been lucky enough to visit a few but you have to go a long way to beat the trails in the Seattle area. It's the perfect place to build strong foundation in little rippers and see those breakthroughs happen for advanced riders too."

Grant started mountain biking as a teenager (over 20 years ago) and has been teaching mountain skills for over 10 years. First as a GoMTB instructor in Scotland, then later as an Evergreen Dirt Camp Coach and now as a FIT Level 1 coach on the Fluidride crew.

He is a full-time middle school teacher and father of a very energetic 4 year old so he understands how important it is to get quality time out on the trails.

Grant is particularly passionate about teaching adults and teens foundational skills in cornering, drops and jumps. He says, "The first time I took the trail essentials class it was a transformative experience. I love seeing that happen for other riders!" Grant lives all things bikes. He loves riding steep tech trails, he'll talk your ear off about specs and setup, wheel building, world cup racing, even tire pressure! "I just love it!"
